Course Details:

The ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Lead Auditor Training Course is a professional development program that teaches individuals about the principles and practices of ISO 9001:2015, a globally recognized standard for quality management.

Upon completion of the course, certified lead auditors will have gained a comprehensive understanding of the ISO 9001:2015 standard and the ability to audit and assess organizations against the requirements of the standard. They will also possess the knowledge and skills necessary to plan and conduct internal or external audits of QMS, evaluate the effectiveness of the QMS, and report on the results of the audit.

The primary objectives of the course are to provide attendees with the tools and techniques necessary to effectively audit a QMS, and to equip them with the knowledge and skills to communicate the findings of an audit to senior management and other stakeholders. Ultimately, a certified lead auditor will be able to make an informed assessment of an organization’s compliance with ISO 9001:2015, and help organizations continuously improve their QMS.

This course provides delegates with fundamental knowledge of assessment skills that will add value to organizations. Successful completion of the course fulfils the formal training requirement for individuals seeking Third Party Assessments.

By the end of this course you are expected to be able to get the:

Knowledge:

● Describe the purpose of a quality management system, of quality management systems standards, of management system audit, of third-party certification and the business benefits of improved performance of the quality management system.
● Explain the role and responsibility of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up a quality management system audit in accordance with ISO 19011, and ISO/IEC 17021-1, as applicable.

Skills:

Plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit of a quality management system to establish conformity (or otherwise) with ISO 9001 and in accordance with ISO 19011, and ISO/IEC 17021-1, as applicable.

Who Should Attend?

Anyone who is or aspires to be:
● A Third Party Assessor or Lead Assessor of ISO 9001:2015
● Responsible for undertaking audits of suppliers/subcontractors as per ISO 9001:2015
● Responsible for implementing internal audits and audit programs as per ISO 9001:2015
● Responsible for implementing the ISO 9001 series of standards

Course Structure:

Course starts at 0830 hrs and ends approximately at 1800 hrs. Maximum attendance 10 delegates per tutor.
Pre-course information is sent to delegates approximately a week prior to the beginning of the course (subject to the fee paid).
The course is highly participative and will enable delegates to build on existing skills. Emphasis is based on practical application of assessment knowledge and skills. Realistic case studies allow delegates to apply skills and knowledge to all stages of the assessment process.

Criteria of Eligibility:

Some specific QMS knowledge and Min. 4 years working experience is required. This is an intensive course.
Before starting this course, students are expected to have the following prior knowledge:

a). Knowledge of the following quality management principles and concepts:
The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle.
● The relationship between quality management and customer satisfaction.
● Commonly used quality management terms and definitions and the 7 Quality Principles as given in ISO 9000.
● The process approach used in quality management.
● The Model of a Process Based Quality Management System, the structure and content of ISO 9001.

b). Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 9001, which may be gained by completing an QMS Foundation Training course or equivalent.

c). Upon registration at the course in the beginning there will be a Pre-Questionnaire test of understanding.
